Dr. John-David Kato,
DC, MSc, ACSM-RCEP, CSEP-CEP, CDE

“JD” Kato is a licensed chiropractor and clinical exercise physiologist in Toronto. He holds the highest-level certifications in Canada and the U.S. for exercise for heatlh, fitness and therapy for medical conditions. Specifically these are the American College of Sports Medicine: Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology: Certified Exercise Physiologist. He is also certifed as a diabetes educator though the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certifcation Board.

His evidenced-based practice integrates cutting edge science on exercise (rehabilitation, aerobic conditioning, strengthening, flexibility), chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue massage, physical modalities (eg. ultrasound, etc.), custom foot orthotics as well as practical advice on exercise biomechanics (proper carrying/lifting to prevent back pain), nutrition, work ergonomics, and other lifestyle interventions.

JD currently works in the interdisciplinary Cardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre at Trillium Health Partners. He also sees patients privately from his office at home, which is located near Danforth and Woodbine Avenues in Toronto.
